
Q: What type/texture/color/length of hair can you braid ?
A: We braid all types, texture and color of hair. African-American, Caucasians, Chinese, Spanish and Indian hair. As for length, we are able to grasp hair as short as 1 inch, sometimes even shorter.
Q: Should I bring the extension or do you provide the hair?
A: Aabies provides all types, colors and lengths of hair. As a braiding shop we have the largest selection of hair in the South-East.
Q: My hair is black, but I want to braid it with a light color. Should I color my hair before I get the braids?
A: No. It is not necessary to color your hair in order for it to match with the extension color. We just use the extension color you want and blend it with your hair as we braid.
Q: My hair is coarse; can I use a relaxer before I get some braids?
A: No. Never perm, color or use any chemical in your hair right before getting braids. This will only damage your hair. If the hair is too coarse for the comb to pass through easily.
Q: How much does it typically take to complete various styles of braids, weaves and twist?
A: Typically Cornrows with extensions are 1 and 3 hours, depending on design and layers. Individuals with human or synthetic extensions would take between 4 and 6 hours, and is typically the same for styles like the kinky and nubian twist. Senegalese Twist may take between 6 and 8 hours.
Q: Can I shampoo regularly if I have braids, weaves or twist with extensions my hair?

A: Yes, the braids make the hair grow faster.
Q: How long should I keep my braids?
A: The length of time you keep your braid depends on the style of braid you choose. Some of our customers keep their braids in as little as a few weeks and up to a few months.
Q: Can I wash my single braids?
A: It depends on your experience handling braided hair. We suggest you come to us for this service. If washing is not done carefully, you may end up losing some of your braids or cause knotting to occur within your braids.
Q: My scalp is itchy. What can I do to stop the itch?
A: You can use any braid spray since most of them are formulated to help with the itch. You can spray it on your scalp once or twice a day.
Q: Some of my braids in the front are hanging on a streak of hair. What can I do?
A: It is time to either take your braids out or get them retouched.
Q: Should I wash my braids before I take them out?
A: We do not recommend washing your braids just before you take them out.
Q: How can I take my braids out?
A: We do offer braids maintenance. Our highly skilled professional braiders are experts in the art of removing braids.
